Pack Overnight Trip: SF Zoo Overnight
PLEASE NOTE: REGISTRATION FOR THIS EVENT IS NOW CLOSED
The info below is for those already registered.
Food: note that we are on our own for dinner. Zoo snacks include cheese, fruit and crackers and zoo also will provide breakfast. They ask that we bring a low waste dinner so reusable dishes & items that can be composted or recycled.
Payment: Please bring a check or cash to make payment at the zoo if you have not already paid Alex (check made out pack 991).
What to bring:
Pillow and sleeping bag
Air cushion or foam pad
Toiletries (including sunscreen – esp. If you are planning to stay the next day)
Warm, layered clothes
Sturdy, closed-toed shoes that are good for walking
Reusable water bottles
Small towel or washcloth
Wagon or means to carry al gear about 1/2 mile from parking lot to campsite.
What NOT to Bring
*Please leave your valuables at home; the San Francisco Zoo is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Air mattress or pads that require electricity to inflate
Electronic Equipment (including, radios, MP3 players and video game players)
Camp stoves or fire of any kind
Tentative Overnight Itinerary
Group arrives between 5:00 and 5:15, park and meet Wild Night guides in Entry Village Transfer gear to campsite
Visit with an animal keeper
Evening activity & snack
“Lights out” at 10:00*pm
Wake-up & pack-up camp at 6:45*am Continental breakfast
